Foam material science

Cooling, clean and supportive foam systems.

Compare gel-infused foam, bamboo charcoal foam, copper and graphene antibacterial options, bio-based foam and breathable cover fabrics for your next private-label pillow line.

Material science

Foam, re-formulated for cool, clean nights.

We move past basic polyurethane's heat-trapping and off-gassing with advanced infusions — the technical story worth telling on every product page.

43%
of cooling market

Gel-Infused Foam

Liquid gel beads blended into the foam absorb and carry excess body heat away for thermal regulation.

99%
anti-microbial

Bamboo Charcoal Foam

Activated bamboo charcoal naturally absorbs moisture and odor while suppressing bacteria — ideal for humid climates.

Cu+
ion barrier

Copper & Graphene

Copper ions form a natural antibacterial barrier that disrupts mites and bacteria — built for allergy-prone sleepers.

Bio-Based Foam

Plant oils (soy, castor) partially replace petroleum polyols — lowering carbon footprint for sustainability-led brands.

Ice-Silk Nylon (锦氨冰丝)

180g nylon-spandex with a naturally cool, silky hand — breathable, moisture-wicking, skin-friendly.

Milk Silk (牛奶丝)

Soft milk-fiber inner cover — gentle, plush and hypoallergenic against the skin.

Lamb Wool & Lycra (羊羔绒)

Plush lamb-wool accents and high-density Lycra for durable, characterful designs.

Pillow fill comparison

Memory foam vs latex, down & fiber.

A neutral comparison buyers can use to position memory foam against the other common pillow fills.

General comparison of common pillow fill materials.
Property Memory foam Latex Down / feather Polyester fiber
Neck & contour support High — molds to head & neck Medium-high, bouncier Low — little structure Low–medium, flattens
Pressure relief High Medium-high Medium Low
Durability High (density-dependent) High Medium, needs fluffing Low, clumps over time
Breathability / heat Improved with gel, charcoal, perforation Naturally breathable Very breathable Moderate
Care Washable cover; core aired Washable cover; wipe core Often machine washable Machine washable
Best for Neck support, side & back sleepers Bouncy support, allergy-aware Soft, plush, stomach sleepers Budget, low-cost volume
Foam glossary

Foam terms, defined.

Slow-rebound (memory) foam
Viscoelastic polyurethane foam that slowly springs back, molding to the head and neck for contour support.
Fast-rebound foam
Springs back quickly for a livelier feel — used in travel and U-pillows where structure matters more than cradling.
Gel-infused foam
Memory foam blended with gel beads that absorb and carry away body heat for cooler sleep.
Density
Foam mass per volume. Higher density generally means more support and durability; it is tuned with firmness, not used alone.
Contour / dual-zone
A shaped surface with a higher and lower zone so one pillow suits different sleep postures.
Off-gassing / curing
The faint new-foam scent from sealed transport; a curing step and airing before use reduce and clear it.

So what? The benefit.
Captures and disperses excess head heat so you sleep sweat-free all night.
A cool, silky surface that lowers skin temperature the moment you lie down.
Soft where you rest, firm where you need it — no more 'too soft or too hard'.
Cradles the neck's natural curve so you wake up genuinely rested.
Odor & breathability

Low-odor, breathable foam buyers can trust.

The two complaints that drive pillow returns are smell and heat. Memory foam is a foamed material, so a faint new-product scent can appear after sealed transport — we keep it low with tier-1 raw materials, a curing step and formaldehyde/PH testing, and clear it with simple airing instructions instead of over-promising odor-free foam.

  • Low-odor process: tier-1 BASF / Huntsman / Dow foam, curing and ventilation before packing.
  • Breathable structures: perforation, airflow grooves, gel and bamboo charcoal for humid climates.
  • Washable covers: removable ice-silk and milk-silk covers; foam core aired, not washed.

Materials FAQ

Heat, odor & washing.

Why does memory foam feel hot, and how do you fix it?
Standard polyurethane traps body heat. We counter it with gel-infused foam, bamboo charcoal, copper and graphene options plus ventilated and perforated structures, finished with ice-silk nylon covers that pull heat away for cooler sleep.
How do you reduce pillow odor and off-gassing?
We use tier-1 BASF, Huntsman and Dow raw materials and a curing process to keep odor low, and foam is tested to formaldehyde and PH standards. Any faint new-foam scent clears after airing the pillow in a ventilated space before use.
Are the covers washable?
Outer covers are removable and machine-washable. The memory foam core itself should be aired rather than machine-washed to protect its structure.
What foam density should I choose?
Higher density generally means more support and durability, but density should be tuned together with firmness, the target sleeper and price band rather than chasing a single number. We recommend a density and firmness combination for your market.
